AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron men's basketball head coach Keith Dambrot has announced that Nyles Evans (North Canton, Ohio) has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Zips in the 2013-14 season.
Evans, a 5-11, 170-pound point guard, will have two years of eligibility left after transferring to Akron from Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Fla.

Cooper was named the Reese's Perfect Player of the Game, with 11 points, nine assists, four rebounds and three steals off the bench. Zeke Marshall scored seven points and added six boards, three blocked shots and one steal.
Scoring drought sets stage for loss
FAIRFAX, Va. - The Western Michigan men's basketball team got off to a hot start, but the Broncos ran out of steam against the homestanding George Mason Patriots, falling 62-52 in the semifinal round of the College Basketball Invitational presented by Buick. With the loss, the Broncos' season ends at 22-13, the best wins mark for the team since it won 26 games during the 2003-04 season. The team's advance to the semifinals of the CBI represents the most postseason wins for the team in a single season in program history.
BUFFALO, NY –Bobby Hurley, one of the most iconic figures in college basketball history, has been named the 12th head men’s basketball coach at the University at Buffalo. He joins UB from the University of Rhode Island where he has been
serving as associate head coach. UB Director of Athletics Danny White made the announcement on Tuesday at a 5:00 pm press conference at Alumni Arena.
